About UsMicro-Documentaries LLC. We are an early-stage, high-growth, purposeful business looking for talented, socially-conscious documentary editors to join our growing team of storytellers. Our clients use the micro-documentaries we produce to connect in a more engaging way with their audience, to raise awareness, support their sales efforts and to raise more money. Their videos are distributed strategically through a number of channels such as email campaigns, websites, social networks, events, and so on. This is a paid position on a contract, per project basis, though it may grow into full time.
Very competitive compensation.
We work with clients like the Clinton Foundation, Stanford University & HP Global Citizenship.
You have at least 5 years experience editing documentary, ideally short form documentary content. You have complete fluency with Final Cut Pro 7, have a strong aesthetic sense and are able to to consistently meet deadlines. You are also a team player and make every effort to produce quality work. It’s an added bonus if you play an instrument, tinker with After Effects or speak a foreign language.
You focus on delivering results and never understood the value of face time for the sake of face time. You want to own your time. You would like your job to enrich your life rather that drain it. You don’t want to choose between your job and your family and your other interests.
You have demonstrated serious interest in making a social or environmental impact. Life is short. You want to make a difference. A work environment where you can improve the world and work as an editor is ideal. You also have the flexibility and sense of humor to work within a small startup with high aspirations.
